Life at Stanley is…

Life at Stanley is full of challenges and very fast paced as we support the ongoing growth of Stanley’s business as well as the brand – especially here in our APAC region. But, we also have fun times as well! All in all, my work on the Quality and Engineering team is challenging and fulfilling, and I enjoy spending time with my teammates at Stanley.

What do you value the most about working at Stanley?

At Stanley, all of us are encouraged to innovate – bringing new ideas and perspectives as we create new products. This is one of my favorite aspects of working at Stanley – I feel that I can contribute to our innovation in my day to day work.

Who is the last person you gave a Stanley to as a gift? What was it and why did you choose that?

My son. While in Seattle attending a team meeting, I was able to get a 40oz Quencher customized with my son’s name – such a memorable and beautiful gift! My son loves it and uses it all the time – having the option to customize our products makes them special and unique gifts!

What is some advice you would give to someone who is just joining Stanley?

At Stanley, our work is very fast paced. This is especially true in APAC, where we are always working on new projects – and for me, with my quality and engineering focus. My advice to someone joining Stanley – either here in APAC or anywhere in the world – is to move quickly but be patient! We need to make thoughtful decisions and ensure that all relevant team members are aware of each other’s work.

Tell us how you’re able to be a creator, builder, or inventor in your role?

In my role, I’m careful not to set too many limitations – I always consider the big picture and how my work is part of that. I enjoy the opportunity to share a different point of view, to continuously determine ways to be more efficient in my work, and also how to create more value to my team and ultimately, to Stanley. I do this by identifying where we may have opportunities to streamline our work – for example, incorporating new tools or technologies. I am constantly learning from the knowledge and experience of my teammates as well as industry experts, which is exciting.

What’s your favorite Stanley product? Why?

The IceFlow™ Bottle. It looks cool, and I love that it's suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
