What inspires you? (inside of work, outside of work)

Learning keeps me engaged and pushes me to grow both personally and professionally. I have an apparel background; joining Stanley 1913 three years ago was such a different world working with industrial designers and design engineers. I learned something new every day and realized that the possibilities here at Stanley 1913 are amazing. I’m not an avid sports fan - I’m not quite sure who said this quote: “You miss 100% of the shots you never take.” This quote inspires me and I keep that in mind when feeling uncertain about taking on a new challenge.

What do you value the most about working at Stanley 1913?

I value the people, freedom to create and team spirit. The collaborative spirit is amazing which and adds energy to getting things done. Stanley 1913’s culture leads with empathy and celebration. Some companies forget the human side involved in creating great brands - Stanley 1913 doesn’t and we celebrate as hard as we work.

Who is the last person you gave a Stanley 1913 product to as a gift? What was it and why did you choose that?

I gave my brother The Forge Thermal Bottle. He spends a lot of time on the road working as a store merchandiser and drinks a lot of coffee but doesn’t have time to stop for coffee breaks. I gave him the bottle so that before he heads off to his next store, he can take a moment to sit, sip and savor his coffee for a few minutes.

Tell us how you’re able to be a creator, builder, or inventor in your role?

As a product manager, I get to imagine, discover and create Stanley 1913’s future. I work with an amazing team to deliver/create a new classic or re-imagine an old classic. I get to innovate in a space that brings our products to life - improving consumer interaction and experiences. I love exploring possibilities – so much so that my favorite saying is “wouldn’t that be cool if…” The journey is exciting and filled with possibilities.

What’s your favorite Stanley 1913 product? Why?

My favorite is the Classic Legendary Bottle. I’ve always loved Stanley 1913 products, but my relationship deepened when I had Covid. Having a bottle filled with steaming hot tea at my bedside whenever I wanted it was lifesaving.
